Pantai Hospital Ipoh launched a special new menu for patients in the ward (inpatient) today.

Celebrity Chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob was present for the lunch session and launched the new menu at the hospital today.

Also present at the event was the Chief Executive Officer of Pantai Ipoh Hospital, Chong Siet Fong.

The programme attended by the media, with the support partner, aims to introduce the new menu dishes prepared by the hospital chef and managed by Chef Dato’ Fazley himself.

In order to prioritise comfort and nutritious food for patients in the ward, this new menu is one of Malaysians’ favourite dishes.

The menu is Nasi Dulang Nusantara and Nasi Goreng Smoked Fat Chili Api Chicken.

Now, patients in the ward can enjoy food choices that are not only flavorful but full of nutrients.

However, the new menu dish is not an option for all patients, it is only served to normal patients and not to those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and others.

Chong said that the patient’s experience in the hospital is a priority for the hospital.

“Apart from treatment and medicines, we ensure that the patient’s recovery is taken care of. This is because a comfortable and pleasant hospital environment has a positive effect on the patient’s recovery.

“Food for patients in the ward is part of the experience in the hospital,” she said in her speech.

She added that her party found that food is very important to patients because their sense of taste is abnormal, causing them to lack appetite.

“It results in food nutrition not being absorbed properly to speed up the patient’s recovery process. But we were able to overcome this challenge with the help of Chef Dato’ Fazley Yaakob,” she said.
