MATTA Fair Perak attract crowd, vibrant Visit Ipoh 2023

IPOH: The Malaysian Association of Travel and Travel Agents Fair (MATTA Fair) Perak program this time is seen as a ‘stepping stone’ to vibrant Ipoh Visitor Year 2023 and Perak Visitor Year 2024.
Chairman of the state Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, Loh Sze Yee, said the program was satisfactory and received a very encouraging response from visitors as soon as the exhibition opened today.
“We hope this MATTA Fair Perak program will be a ‘stepping stone’ to Visit Ipoh 2023 and Visit Perak Year 2024,” he said at a press conference after officiating the opening of the exhibition at the Ipoh International Convention Center (ICC) here today.
Also present were the Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin, The Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa and the Chairman of MATTA Perak, Chong Yu Ken.
Loh said the program will simultaneously increase the economy and activities of all tourism operators in the state of Perak.
Meanwhile, Chong said, after a successful start last year, this year’s MATTA Perak occupies the entire hall, taking up almost 28,000 sqft of space in which exhibitors can display their products.
“With 118 booths taken up by over 30 organisations, including Tourism Perak, Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Melaka, Tourism Pahang and LADA.
“We are expecting a 20,000 visitors turn- out and expect sales up to RM23 million through the exciting offerings of the exhibitors.
