The conveyor belt in the track carrying garbage in the cement factory was destroyed by fire

SUNGAI SIPUT: A conveyor belt in a track carrying rubbish up to 30 meters high at a cement factory here was destroyed in a fire incident late Sunday afternoon.

Head of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Senior Fire Officer II Suhaimi Abd Samad said, he received a call regarding the incident at 6.34 pm.

He also said that members of the Sungai Siput Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) with the help of the Tambun BBP were moved to the scene of the incident.

“The fire involved the belting in the volvo belt track carrying garbage with a height of 30 meters. 20 per cent of the area of ​​the150x300 factory was destroyed by the fire.

“However, there were no victims involved in this incident. Members put out the fire using two streams of 300 feet and two fountains using water sources from fire hydrants,” he told reporters.

The operation ended completely at 8.53 pm.
