Kompas International College and BoardRoom signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at Kompas International College, Garden @ Level 1.

Kompas International College was founded in 1991 under the Education Act 1961, and is an entity under Shen Jai Education Group, while Boardroom is a multinational corporate services provider with over 50 years of experience.

Representing Kompas International College was Mr. Yeoh Saik Chooi, Group CEP Shen Jai Education Group, Mr. Foo En Lin, Executive Director, Shen Jai Education Group, Dr. Ahmat Zamri bin Abdullah, Chief Executive Kompas International College and Mr. Ho Hsieh Jsiung, Director of Operations & Resources, Shen Jai Education Group.

Representing BoardRoom was Mr. Stephen Tjoa, Group Chief People Officer, Ms. Andrea Chua, Head of BoardRoom Academy, Ms. Jennifer Lee, Head of Talent Acquisition, Ms. Joyce E, Head of People Business Partnering, Ms. Chan Eoi Leng, Senior Manager, Corporate Secretarial and Ms. Winnie Low, Senior Executive, Talent Acquisition.

Mr. Stephen Tjoa from BoardRoom noted that it was a natural fit for BoardRoom and Kompas International College to work together and that he hopes that this will be mutually beneficial for the long term.

Dr. Ahmat from Kompas stressed that in addition to learning the technical skills, partnering with BoardRoom will allow their students to develop their soft skills.

The partnership with BoardRoom will not only allow for placement programmes, but also allow for students to meet with C-Level management, much earlier in their career.

When asked by Ipoh Echo if BoardRoom will be able to accommodate all the students from Kompas, Mr. Tjoa noted that it is an issue of supply and demand. And that there is a lack of supply (workplace-ready students) but still plenty of demand (workplace positions).
