Many people throughout the world have been celebrating her big win and her biggest fan is none other than her mother Datin Janet Yeoh. To be the first Asian to earn the Best Actress award, a Malaysian and from Ipoh is a very big deal indeed.

Here in Ipoh where the star was brought up Datin Janet and the whole Yeoh family gathered at the YLCO Museum yesterday March 19 to congratulate Michelle and celebrate her amazing success.

The family gathered from 10am and were continuously taking photos with Janet till almost after 2pm. All throughout Datin Janet had a smile and even managed to lead the family in a ‘Michelle Boleh’ video.
