BAGAN SERAI: Four faced anxious moments after the vehicle they were riding in caught fire in a road accident at Kilometer 184.6 PLUS heading north here, today.
Operations Commander, Fauziah Baharudin said, Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call at 1.08pm informing about the case before personnel rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
“The road accident involved a Proton Persona car that crashed as a result of a collision with an object on the road and caught fire.
“One victim was burned on the leg while three other victims were safe and got out on their own. The vehicle was completely destroyed,” he said.
He said the members used a stream of hose reel sourced with water from the machinery tank until the fire was completely extinguished.
“The whole operation ended completely at 2 pm,” he said
