JCI Kinta held their 7th Installation and Awards Banquet

By KT Leong

Junior Chambers International (JCI) Kinta held their 7th Installation and Awards Banquet at Hotel Excelsior last night.

The annual event not only celebrated and gave recognition to outstanding JCI members, but also saw the rotating out of the previous year’s president and his team, and the installation of a new president and JCI Kinta team.

JCI is a NGO that seeks to develop the leadership qualities of its members as well as improve the community as a whole. Last year, JCI Kinta organised the Kinta Food Hero event in conjunction with the Ipoh City Council (MBI) and Tourism Perak, to help jumpstart a post-pandemic food merchant sector and promote tourism to Ipoh. They also held a Little Tauke event opposite Concubine Lane, to teach children financial literacy by exposing them to doing business in the real world. On top of that, they have organised donations for orang asli communities in need.

This year’s new JCI Kinta leaders are listed in the flyer below.
