Cash prize of RM76,000 for lucky draw Cukai Taksiran 2023

IPOH: Ipoh City Council (MBI) held the lucky draw session for Cukai Taksiran 2023 live via ‘Facebook’ at Dewan Azlan Shah, 10th Floor, MBI Building here today.

The Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin was present to complete the 30 main draws of the lucky draw session.

Rumaizi said that this year his party offered 230 attractive prizes in the form of cash totaling RM76,000 to be won by lucky citizens with the main prize worth RM20,000.

“This is the second year the Council has offered cash prizes.

“For early payers of the 2023 Assessment Tax, the Council will provide 30,000 mini bags with the MBI logo printed as an appreciation,” he said.

Rumaizi said that starting this year, the Council will also open participation opportunities to all payment channels that make annual assessment tax payments without arrears.

“Payment of Assessment Tax for one year and without arrears through Ipoh City Council Payment Counter, Post Office Counter, PBT Perak Counter as well as online payment i.e. payment through MBI Portal (d-mbi@ipoh), PBTPay, Jompay and also internet banking

“For online payments and also through collection agents, the lucky draw slip will be automatically processed by the council,” he said.

He said that this event is a step to encourage citizens to make payments without having to come to the counter but still be able to participate in the Lucky Draw.

In the meantime, he said, this year a total of 141,283 bills have been paid a year which recorded a total excess payment of RM 34.16 million.

“A total of 230 lucky draw winners, 200 winners for the consolation prizes and 30 winners for the main prizes were selected in the lucky draw session.

“For the main lucky draw, prizes will be held again on a date to be set to determine the main prize to be won.

“Hopefully this program will be able to give appreciation to the citizens of Ipoh who have carried out their responsibilities and hope that the continuous support from the citizens to the Council will help realize the desire to make the City a Prosperous City,” he said.
