Police call for witnesses to the fatal accident at KM 17 Jalan Keramat Pulai Simpang Pulai

IPOH: The police are calling for witnesses to the fatal accident involving a car and a motorcycle at KM 17 Jalan Keramat Pulai, Simpang Pulai yesterday to come forward to provide information to assist in the investigation.

Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said, this case is being investigated under section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

“The police are calling on witnesses who witnessed the incident to contact the Head of Investigation and Traffic Enforcement Division, District police headquarters (IPD) Ipoh,” he said.

Yahaya said that the results of the autopsy conducted today showed that the motorcyclist’s cause of death was ‘exsanguination due to skeletal injury due to road traffic crash’.

Yesterday, the media reported, One woman died while another was injured after the motorcycle they were riding is believed to have collided with a Perodua Alza type car in Kampung Pos Raya.

Assistant Director of the Perak Fire and Rescue Operations Division (JBPM), Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain reportedly said that the victim, who was a motorcyclist known as Nur Alia Supar, 25, died at the scene of the incident.

According to the report, there were six victims involved in this accident, the motorcyclist was confirmed dead by the hospital’s medical officer while the passenger, a 24-year-old woman, was injured.

All four victims from the Perodua Alza were safe and uninjured.
