Collect 60kg of garbage in two hours in Teluk Senangin

MANJUNG – Teluk Senangin Beach near Lumut received a visit from 27 students of Universiti Teknologi Mara Seri Iskandar and Tapah campuses to do social work.

They, along with  five lecturers, are members of the Eximius Regiment Brass Band Club who are responsible for  making the community service program a success.

The objective of the program is to make the community aware of the importance of keeping the beach  and the environment clean and for the program to  have a positive impact on the local community.

This is because Teluk Senangin Beach is the main tourist attraction in Lumut.

In this program, approximately 60 kilograms of garbage were successfully collected within two hours.

This program also received cooperation from the Department of Environmental Health and City Services Zone 3 of the Manjung Municipal Council.

Although a ‘gotong royong’ program like this is done, the community, especially beach visitors, also need to have a sense of responsibility not to leave their trash behind.

Without shared responsibility, the desire to ensure the beauty of beaches like Teluk Senangin are maintained will be difficult to achieve.
