Police investigate a fight between a group of teenagers that went viral on social media

SUNGAI SIPUT: Police confirmed receiving a report of a fight between a group of teenagers that went viral on social media recently.

Sungai Siput District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Khaizam Ahmad Shahabudin said, a police report was made by the victim at about 6.25pm ‚Äč‚Äčlast Monday at the Sungai Siput Police Station (u).

“Preliminary investigations found that the fight involved a group of six teenagers aged between 16 and 19 years old at the edge of Taman Muhibbah, Sungai Siput (u).

“The investigation found that the incident was caused by dissatisfaction with a group of teenagers who were making noise by blowing their motorcycle exhaust,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Mohd Khaizam said, following the incident, the police opened investigation papers under Section 160 of the Penal Code and will call several witnesses to assist in the investigation.

“Therefore, the public is advised not to spread unauthentic information to the public and not to make any speculations that could interfere with the investigation.
