More than 3,000 visitors brought cheer to the Nusantara Cultural Festival Program @ Ipoh 2023

IPOH: More than 3,000 visitors enjoyed the Nusantara Cultural Festival @ Ipoh 2023 Program and the Classic Car Exhibition in conjunction with the 35th Anniversary of the City of Ipoh at the Indera Mulia Stadium, Ipoh, last night.

Chairman of the state Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, Loh Sze Yee, said the organization was the right effort to attract more visitors to Ipoh, in line with the Visit Ipoh Year 2023.

He said again, it is also the best platform for cultural arts activists to promote their respective cultural arts.

“Well done and congratulations to the mayor and program secretary for successfully organizing this program once again.

“I understand that this is the second time that it has been organized by the Ipoh City Council (MBI).

“Last year it was held on a smaller scale where the performance only involved a few art teams from within the country.

“However, this time, we also got participation from our friendly cities from abroad, namely Medan, Indonesia and also Nanning, China,” he said.

He said this when officiating the program at the Indera Mulia Stadium, here last night.

Also present was Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin.

He explained that the cities of Nanning and Medan are cities of friendship that have been intertwined with Ipoh for a long time.

“Last Friday, Ipoh and Nanning renewed the bilateral relationship MoU between the two cities to further develop activities for the benefit of both parties.

“While the relationship with Medan continues by focusing on the exchange of activities and culture and tourism including health tourism,” he said.

Meanwhile, MBI’s objective in organizing the program is to enliven the celebration of Visiting Ipoh 2023 through community arts and culture programs.

It involves a combination of performances from the City of Nanning, China and the City of Medan, Indonesia as well as local authorities (PBT) such as the Kuala Lumpur City Hall, the Seremban City Council and the Historic Melaka City Council.

Among the interesting activities at this carnival are viral food and drink sales for visitors from 8 to 12 June from 10 am to 11 pm.

In addition, children’s theme park games carousel, haunted house and petting zoo.

There was also a classic car exhibition involving 20 types of international brand classic cars.
