GERIK: A 17-year-old boy believed to be missing in a rubber plantation area in Kampung Tanjung Sejarah, here since last Wednesday, was found in a weak state by the rescue team today.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division Assistant Director, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said, the victim Muhammad Naufal Adzimi Mohd Harris, was found safe at 10.49 this morning by the K9 Detection Unit and the General Operations Team (PGA).

“The search and rescue operation team this morning was divided into eight groups, each group is joined by various agencies such as the fire brigade, police, PGA and the public.

“The victim was found safe approximately 2 kilometers from where the victim’s vehicle was found.

“A search had already been made at that location before, but the victim may have moved to another place, causing the rescue team not to find him.

“Efforts to bring the victim out were carried out using a vehicle due to the relatively large size of the victim” he told reporters on Saturday.

He said the victim was then taken to Gerik Hospital for examination and follow-up treatment.
