IPOH – A total of 100 small-sized Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian national flags) were distributed by members of the Taman Pengkalan Jaya Neighborhood Welfare Club (KRT) to residents.
Among them, was the unification of traders and night market visitors through the provision of free flags in conjunction with celebrating Independence Month.
The Treasurer of Taman Pengkalan Jaya KRT, Afi Roshezry Abu Bakar, stated that this program is a mandatory routine carried out by the Taman Pengkalan Jaya KRT Committee each time Independence Day is celebrated.
He mentioned that the distribution is also intended to boost the national spirit and strengthen the bond between the KRT and the local community.
“While Jalur Gemilang can be purchased, we distribute them for free as a patriotic gesture.
“We want these Jalur Gemilang to be proudly displayed everywhere, whether it’s at homes or vehicles,” he stated.
