2 Dead While One Seriously Injured When Car Crashed Into An Electric Pole

IPOH: Two men died while another was seriously injured after the Proton Waja car that they were riding in skidded and crashed into an electric pole in front of a factory on Jalan Kuala Kangsar early this morning.

The director of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Sayani Saidon, said she received a call about the incident at 2.17 this morning before members of the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the location.

She further said that the three male victims in their 30s were trapped in the vehicle due to the accident.

“On arrival, the team at the scene of the incident found that a car had skidded and hit an electric pole; firefighters used equipment to remove all the trapped victims.

“The head of operations reported that two victims were confirmed dead at the scene by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).

“While one person was seriously injured and sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun by ambulance,” she told reporters today.

The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Mohamad Mahir Mat Saad ended at 4.30 am.
