IPOH – A total of 1,000 packs of 5kg rice were distributed for free to the public in under 15 minutes as an initiative to alleviate the people’s burden.
The distribution was carried out by a computer company, Imika Empire Sdn. Bhd. (Imika HQ Ipoh), in the premises located on Jalan Greentown in this city.
The owner of Imika HQ Ipoh, Dato’ Abdul Rahim Tahir, shared the news on his Facebook page, mentioning that the distribution was done without considering the recipients’ backgrounds.
He stated that they provided coupons to all residents of Ipoh who came to the premises as advertised.
“As early as 7 a.m., the public had already begun lining up. We set up two rows for a faster process. At precisely 8:30 a.m., the rice distribution began. By 8:43 a.m., the distribution was almost completed.
“Thank you to all who attended,” he said.
It’s understood that Imika HQ has been advertising the free rice distribution for the past week.
This is also one of the corporate social responsibility programs by IMIKA Charity, aimed at benefiting all.
