The man who fell off the boat while fishing was found dead

KUALA KANGSAR: A man who went missing after falling from a boat while fishing in Kampung Sungai Jarau, Kati since last Thursday, was found dead this evening.

According to the Assistant Director of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the victim, Mohd Faiz Azam, 33 years old, was discovered by the public at a distance of 25 kilometers from the location where he fell.

“The victim was found by the public at 5:30 this evening, stranded on an island in Kampung Buaya.

“The operation to retrieve the body of the victim is currently being carried out by the rescue team,” he said through a statement here this evening.

Previously, the media reported that a man was feared drowned after falling from a boat while fishing in Kampung Sungai Jarau, Kati.

It is understood that the victim, known as Mohd Faiz Azman, 33, was swept away by the water when he was about to go fishing in the Perak River.
