A body without identification was found floating at the jetty

KUALA KURAU: An unidentified body, the gender of which has not been determined, was discovered floating at the Kuala Kurau Maritime Zone Jetty yesterday evening.

Commander Maritime Mohd Najhan Azman Hamid, Director of the Kuala Kurau Maritime Zone, stated that the body was found by the Malaysian Maritime patrol boat crew on Saturday when they were about to moor at the Kuala Kurau Maritime Zone Jetty.

“The body was spotted by the Perkasa 1239 boat crew when they noticed the lower half of the body floating beneath their boat, which was moored at the same jetty.

“Efforts to retrieve the body were made with the assistance of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in the Kerian district and the local community,” he said in a statement here today.

Furthermore, Mohd Najhan mentioned that the victim’s body has been handed over to the police for further action.

He expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by the police and the local community in recovering the body.
