TAPAH – The current pressure felt by the people due to the rising cost of essential goods has caused many to be more mindful of their spending.

Any effort to alleviate the financial burden on the people is highly commendable, especially for those residing in rural areas.

Hence, the overwhelming response to the Madani Sales held during the Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Day Program in the Batang Padang District of Perak is noteworthy.

This initiative, organized by the Perak State Cooperative Commission, also involved mobile shops from the Perak State Foundation for Empowerment, Darul Ridzuan, as well as the sale of fresh eggs, meat, and salted eggs by the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (PERAK SADC).

A variety of fresh fish and seafood were provided by the Perak State Fisheries Department and the Perak Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM), along with goat products from the Perak State Veterinary Services Department.

Thirty retail spaces were also allocated to entrepreneurs from various agencies in the Batang Padang District for their sales activities.

The event attracted nearly 3,000 visitors, resulting in total sales of approximately RM230,000 throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat (STeP), Mohamad Rozlan Mohamad Razalli, expressed that the public’s response to the program demonstrates the contribution of local products to meet consumer needs.

“The Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Day Program in the Batang Padang District is the ninth out of twelve planned for the year 2023. This program brings together entrepreneurial agencies and cooperative movements in the state of Perak under one roof,” he stated.

In addition to disseminating information, the program promotes local entrepreneurial products for each district in Perak, contributing to local economic development.
