IPOH: More than 300,000 visitors are targeted to attend the Hari Peladang, Penternak dan Nelayan Kebangsaan 2023 (HPPNK) celebration at Dataran Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah here.
The three-day event, which started yesterday, is the best opportunity for the public, especially Ipoh residents, to obtain any agricultural-related products.
Various sales, demonstrations, and exhibitions on agriculture, food, livestock, and interesting activities for everyone.
This time, HPPNK also emphasizes waste management through the production of by-products such as paper and thread from pineapple fibers, kitchen waste management demonstrations for compost production from plant waste.
Yesterday alone, around 100,000 visitors flooded the sales tents, besides witnessing various latest agricultural technologies.
HPPNK is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM).
Not to be missed is the Agro Madani FAMA sales, along with local rice and white egg sales.
Also offering special discounts is the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (Perak SADC), which provides a 50% discount for Lenggong Beef at their agency’s sales tent.
