PASIR SALAK: A house along with a car and three motorcycles were destroyed in a fire early morning today in Kampung Selat Pulau, Kampung Gajah, here.
Assistant Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they received a call regarding the incident at 1:57 am.
“Members from the Kampung Gajah Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by the Teluk Intan Fire and Rescue Station, rushed to the scene.
“The fire involved a Class B house measuring 30×80, destroyed by 80% but it did not involve any victims,” he said in a statement here today.
He mentioned that the firefighters used the rescue concept and extinguished the fire with a 400-foot hose and two water jets from the pump.
The operation, led by Senior Fire Officer II Razali Haramaini, concluded at 4:30 am.
