IPOH: The fate of 70 business license holders at Pasir Putih Market, who were affected by a fire earlier this week, received attention as they received aid.

Emergency support totalling RM200,000 was handed over by the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timor, Howard Lee.

Also present was the City Secretary of the Ipoh City Council (MBI), Ahmad Munir Ishak.

Each recipient received a support of RM2,500 from contributions made by the Member of Parliament’s Office, the District Land and Mines Office of Kinta, MBI, Puncak Emas Infra Sdn. Bhd., and the Tzu Chi Association.

This reflects the synergy of cooperation among many parties to alleviate the difficulties faced by the traders.

“I am very grateful to all parties for their contributions in expediting the support process.

“In particular, MBI’s commitment to providing a temporary market site so that traders can earn a living as soon as possible,” said Howard.

The temporary market site identified by the MBI is at the open space area of Taman Hoover, facing Master Looi Confectionery.

This location requires improvements before it can commence operations.
