IPOH: The operation to demolish illegal structures at Panorama Lapangan Perdana Apartments here was carried out following the non-compliance with previous notices.

The action was taken by the Ipoh City Council officials this morning.

It follows complaints from residents about unapproved structures being used as a food stall and neighborhood club center.

This case falls within the strata property area, which is under the responsibility of the joint management of the apartment.

MBI stated in a release that two notices under the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974 (Act 133) had been issued, but there was no response from the owner.

“Ninety members were involved in this operation, with the participation of various agencies such as the police, Perak Water Board, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, and the Land and District Office.

“The operation concluded around 10:30 am,” the statement said.
