Ipoh: The festive atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr is still palpable as the month of Shawwal draws to a close.
Over 200 residents of Taman Pengkalan Jaya gathered to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr festival at the Al Furqan Mosque Square here.
The event was organized by the Neighborhood Watch (KRT) of Taman Pengkalan Jaya.
A variety of delicacies were served, including nasi himpit, lemang, chicken rendang, assorted traditional cakes, and beverages.
The Treasurer of KRT Taman Pengkalan Jaya, Afi Roshezry Abu Bakar, stated that the annual program helps foster closer ties among community members.
He mentioned that the event was attended by residents from different ethnic backgrounds, reflecting the spirit of unity.
“We are delighted to organize this event that brings together residents, including children. This is one of the activities organized by KRT Taman Pengkalan Jaya, in addition to various programs planned for this year,” he said.
Also present were Council Member of Ipoh City Council Zone 15, Basri Mohd Nor, and the Youth Chief of UMNO Ipoh Timor Division, Abdul Muaiz Mohamad Sungip.
