JIM and MBI conducted an integrated operation to inspect premises run by foreign traders

IPOH: An integrated operation to combat foreign traders in premises of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) was conducted, led by the Immigration Department (JIM).

Also participating were MBI enforcement officers along with the Health Department and Licensing Department of MBI in the operation carried out around Ipoh town.

Health Department, Food Safety and Quality Unit, and the General Health Unit of MBI conducted inspections in terms of cleanliness, misuse of premises, and premises licenses.

The Licensing Department of MBI conducted inspections of billboard licenses and premises licenses, while the Immigration Department checked the work passes of foreign workers.

MBI enforcement officers identified the locations of premises, issued compounds, and prepared reports.

A total of 15 premises were inspected, all of which had valid premises licenses.

Meanwhile, the Immigration Department arrested two foreign nationals for not having any identification during the inspection.
