Man injured in crash with PLUS police assistance 4×4 vehicle

MUALLIM: A man was injured and trapped after a Perodua Myvi car collided with the rear of a four-wheel-drive police assistance vehicle on the North-South Expressway at kilometer 387.0, northbound, last night.

According to Deputy Director of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the accident also involved a BMW car carrying a husband and wife.

He said both vehicles collided with the rear of the four-wheel-drive vehicle, but the BMW occupants did not suffer any injuries.

“The incident occurred around 8.47 pm and personnel from the Tanjung Malim Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.

“The victim from the Perodua Myvi, a man in his 30s, was found injured and trapped after colliding with the rear of a Toyota Hilux,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

Sabarodzi further stated that the firefighters then used hydraulic equipment to extricate the victim and handed him over to the ambulance personnel of the Malaysian Ministry of Health.

The operation, involving 10 personnel, concluded at 9.26 pm.
