Klinik Ng dan Singh, Ipoh branch, which is a partnership with Yayasan Ipoh (YI), formally opened its doors on 5 October, with Dr. Bhagwan Singh, the Board Director of Klinik Ng dan Singh and Dato Dr. Ramanathan, CEO of Yayasan Ipoh, cutting the ribbon to signify its opening.
Among the guests were Dr. Ragu Raman, a member of Yayasan Ipoh’s Board of Trustees, Mrs. Amarjit Kaur, from the Board of Directors of Klinik Ng Dan Singh, Dr. Prashanth; a Urologist from Vijayawada, India and his spouse Mrs. Padma. As well as Dr. Sivanesvaran, Perak State Consultant Urologist, and the attending physician, Dr. Shanny Kaur. Employees of Klinik Ng dan Singh, Yayasan Ipoh personnel, Yayasan Ipoh kids, parents and guardians and the neighbouring community also attended the opening.
The inaugural remarks were given by Dr. Bhagwan Singh, who mentioned in his speech that he and his wife, Mrs. Amarjit Kaur, had been looking for an avenue to do charity for some time and with this clinic, they had finally found a place and a way to serve the public and the special needs children, as they shared similar values that matched those of Yayasan Ipoh and Persatuan Pemulihan Sultan Azlan Shah.
Additionally, he disclosed his intention to establish an X-ray unit at Yayasan Ipoh in the near future. Dr. Shanny who is the medical officer, is fluent in Malay, English and Chinese, which will ease the understanding of patients’ pain, needs and in explaining about diseases.
Dato Dr. Ramanathan as CEO of Yayasan addressed and welcomed the arrival of all the guests who had come together to celebrate the launch of this new clinic. He mentioned that this new clinic within the compound will complement the existing services provided such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, adult hydrotherapy, children’s spa therapy, daycare and Early Intervention Programme for special needs kids. Furthermore, Yayasan Ipoh is a guarded compound with ample covered parking lots and under 24 hours CCTV surveillance making it safe for all of their clients. Finally, he also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Bhagwan Singh for his generosity in providing all clinic equipment, fittings, and furnishings at no cost. A substantial amount of revenue from the clinic will be donated to Yayasan Ipoh regularly.
A free health screening and blood test at a promotional price was offered to all guests as well.
