GOPENG: The operation of Malaysia’s first non-radioactive rare earth element (NR-REE) analysis laboratory, Terra Mineral Lab Sdn. Bhd (TML), was honored with a royal visit.
The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, graciously visited the laboratory located in the Gopeng Industrial Area.
During the visit, Their Majesties were briefed on TML’s operations before being taken on a tour of the facility.
This royal visit marks another historic achievement in the development of the NR-REE industry in Perak.
TML, which operates under the full supervision of the Menteri Besar Incorporated (Perak), is Malaysia’s first commercial NR-REE analysis laboratory.
The laboratory is currently managed by 15 local experts, who are trained graduates from local universities, demonstrating success in developing local talent.
TML now offers mineral analysis services to various industry stakeholders, not only in Perak but throughout Malaysia.
Its role as a state data hub and reference benchmark strengthens Perak’s position as a leader in the national NR-REE industry.
