MANJUNG: Two men were successfully rescued after getting lost while descending Bukit 300 in Kampung Teluk Batik here last night.
Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Assistant Director of the Operations Division of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, said that they received a call about the incident at 7:28 PM on Wednesday.
He mentioned that the two victims were identified as M. Kabilen and D. Viegnesh, both 24 years old.
“The victims strayed from the hiking trail while descending Bukit 300, however, they were reported to be stable and could be contacted via mobile phone.
“Personnel from the Seri Manjung Fire and Rescue Station climbed the hill and located the victims 5 kilometers from the foot of the hill,” he said in a statement here today.
He added that the victims did not suffer any injuries but were slightly weak.
“The victims were still able to walk and descend the hill with the firemen, after which they were handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
