Lambretta opens first sales gallery in Perak

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: Once a popular vehicle in its time, the iconic Italian scooter, Lambretta, has now opened a branch in Ipoh, which is also the first in Perak.

Lambretta Ipoh is owned by Chuan Keat Motor Trading Sdn. Bhd. (CKT) and is located in the Medan Pulai Hartamas business area here.

Lambretta Ipoh Sales Manager, Muhammad Aiman Fahmi Norrizal, said this is the sixth Lambretta branch in Malaysia.

He mentioned that Lambretta Malaysia has opened five official stores in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuching, and now Ipoh.

“The Lambretta motorcycle brand certainly needs no introduction, as Lambretta has been a pioneer and leader in the international scooter segment.

“Since the 1960s, Lambretta has been well known, so the presence of this scooter sales outlet in Ipoh is expected to attract the market and more enthusiasts,” he said.

Lambretta made its return to the Malaysian market last May with the launch of newer models that are fresher and in line with current automotive trends.

Among the latest models is the X250, equipped with a 250cc engine and priced starting from RM22,900.

Next is the G350 model, featuring a 330cc engine with a starting price of RM29,800.

He is also confident that Ipoh’s status as a hipster city and an arts city will indirectly increase Lambretta’s popularity across all age groups.
