GERIK: The excitement of welcoming Chinese New Year was also felt by the Chinese community in Temenggor, who are eagerly anticipating the celebration.
The arrival of the Year of the Snake, representing wisdom, mystery, and fertility, is also seen as a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
To celebrate the occasion, Temenggor State Assemblyman, Dato’ Salbiah Mohamed, held a symbolic celebration with the local community.
The Chinese New Year celebration for the Temenggor State Assembly in 2025 was successfully held at the DUN Temenggor Service Center.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth, brought to life by vibrant traditions and a spirit of unity.
Among the highlights were a dragon dance performance, Chinese drum performances, and a community feast.
Additionally, there were red envelopes given to children and contributions to less fortunate residents.
