A symposium on the topic of child safety and protection will be held at Yayasan Ipoh (YI)’s Convention Centre at Bercham. This symposium will be held on 15 February, which is a Saturday, from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm.
Organised by Yayasan Ipoh and Persatuan Pemulihan Sultan Azlan Shah, with collaboration with Perak Academy, this event, which is open to educators, students, parents, caregivers, social workers, legal professionals and the public, will feature speakers from the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), Protect & Save the Children Association of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Childline Foundation as well as the Malaysia Association of Social Workers (MASW).
It will also feature exhibition booths.
This symposium which previously required an entry fee, is now free thanks to the generous help of sponsors.
