MAIPk BESTARI App Simplifies Zakat Fitrah Collection

By: Zaki Saleh

IPOH: The Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) continues to drive digital innovation with the launch of the MAIPk BESTARI application, a modern platform revolutionizing the zakat fitrah collection system.

Aligning with other states’ initiatives, MAIPk remains proactive in introducing cashless zakat payment solutions to ensure a seamless, convenient, and secure experience for zakat contributors.

A total of 1,938 amil (zakat collectors) across Perak will utilize this app to facilitate zakat fitrah collection.

Each payment will be directly credited to MAIPk’s official account, while zakat receipts will be automatically emailed to contributors.

This initiative streamlines the zakat payment process, making it faster, more modern, and highly systematic.

Beyond zakat fitrah, the platform also enables users to participate in waqf (endowment) programs with contributions starting from as little as RM1.

This digital approach not only enhances zakat collection efficiency but also ensures a more transparent, secure, and accessible process for all.
