IPOH: All micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs in Perak are invited to participate in various local and international trade exhibitions to expand their market reach.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat (STeP), falls under the 2025 MSME Product, Service, and Export Market Expansion Programme.
Through this programme, selected Perak entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to join trade and sales exhibitions in countries such as Singapore, New Zealand, China, and Brunei.
They will also gain access to major exhibitions like the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2025 and the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS).
In a statement, STeP announced that applications are open to Malaysian citizens whose businesses are registered and operating in Perak.
Priority will be given to entrepreneurs and private limited (Sdn Bhd) companies, although enterprise-status businesses are also encouraged to apply.
“Eligible products must have at least one relevant certification, such as MeSTI, Halal, GMP, or HACCP, to meet local and international market standards.
“Products should also have proper packaging and the ability to fulfil market demand.
“Participants must be willing to pay a commitment fee of RM200 for local exhibitions, and between RM5,000 and RM10,000 for international ones.
“They are also responsible for accommodation, transportation, and other related costs. Meanwhile, the state government will cover booth space and exhibition fees,” the statement added.
Interested Perak entrepreneurs can submit their applications via https://step.perak.my/sme/ or contact the STeP secretariat at 012-4618792 (Azwin) for further details.
