Drive-Thru Pharmacy Counter Eases Medication Collection at Simee Health Clinic

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: Patients at Simee Health Clinic can now collect their medications more conveniently, thanks to the newly launched drive-thru pharmacy counter.

This initiative aims to alleviate congestion and reduce waiting times, particularly for those requiring regular medication refills.

Previously, patients often faced long queues and crowded waiting areas when collecting their prescriptions.

The new facility addresses these issues by allowing patients to receive their medications without leaving their vehicles, streamlining the process and enhancing comfort.

The construction of the drive-thru counter was funded with RM150,000 from the offices of Ipoh Timor Member of Parliament Howard Lee and Canning state assemblyperson Jenny Choy Tsi Jen.

Both officials officiated the opening ceremony of the new facility.

“The introduction of this drive-thru system not only reduces congestion in the main pharmacy waiting area but also shortens the waiting time for patients to receive their medications.

“This improvement enhances the overall quality of service provided by the clinic,” said Howard Lee.

The drive-thru pharmacy counter is part of a broader effort to modernise healthcare services and improve patient experience at public health facilities.
