GERIK : The Perak Football Referee Seminar and Carnival 2025 was successfully held from May 23 to 25, 2025, at Sekolah Menengah Sultan Idris II and the KBS Gerik Synthetic Field.
The program involved over 80 football referees.
This annual event serves as a key platform to gather referees and assessors from all districts across the state of Perak.
It aims to strengthen understanding of the rules of the game and improve physical fitness in line with the standards set by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and international bodies.
Throughout the three-day program, a variety of impactful and engaging activities were held.
These included a football laws quiz, a montage competition themed ‘Our Referee’, and a fitness run following the FAM/FIFA format. The fitness run acts as a benchmark for referees to qualify for official badges and recognition as Perak State Referees for 2025.
What made this year’s edition particularly special was the combination of two main elements: mastery of the laws of the game and practical implementation on the field.
This holistic approach aligns with the national and international direction for referee development.
