JCI Ipoh and Co-Founder of YEG Present Gifts and Guidance to Orphaned Youths

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ipoh alongside the co-founder of Young Eagle Generation (YEG), Trisen Tan, visited three orphanages in Ipoh with festive gifts for the Dragon Boat Festival as well as inspiring the children by sharing his personal story, The Story of Trisen Tan. The orphanages visited were Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Berjasa Kinta, Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang and The Salvation Army.

The Story of Trisen Tan chronicles his journey of resilience; spotlighting the key decisions and actions that shaped his path to success. Through this initiative, Trisen hopes to ignite dreams, build confidence, and instill gratitude in the hearts of children.

“Youth are the pillars of our nation’s future. They need love, guidance, and the right values to grow into positive forces in society,” said Trisen Tan.

“By sharing my real story, I want to inspire these children to make wise choices, stay away from the wrong path, and always remain grateful,” he added.

JCI Ipoh 2025 President Emily Wong highlighted the growing concern of youths falling into negative influences and emphasized the need for society to invest more care, knowledge, and positive values to guide the younger generation toward a brighter future.

In conjunction with the Dragon Boat Festival, the team also distributed traditional rice dumplings (zongzi) to the children, celebrating the occasion together and sharing warmth and festive joy.

They also presented donations of RM3,000 to Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang, RM2,000 to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Berjasa Kinta and RM2,000 to The Salvation Army.
