IPOH: Pantai Hospital Ipoh today sent 20 staff members to voluntarily donate blood to help patients involved in the recent bus accident that claimed the lives of 15 students from Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI).

Pantai Hospital Ipoh’s Sales and Marketing Executive Officer, Muhammad Luqman Kamsol, said the initiative was part of the hospital’s commitment and responsibility to assist public hospitals in meeting the increased demand for blood supplies following the tragedy, which required urgent blood transfusions.

“The staff, from various departments including nursing, administration, and clinical support, came forward voluntarily to answer this humanitarian call.

“We at Pantai Hospital Ipoh believe that every drop of blood is precious,” he said.

Muhammad Luqman added that the contribution also served as a show of solidarity with the victims and was a small gesture hoped to make a big impact in their recovery process.

He also urged the public to come forward and donate blood voluntarily at the HRPB Ipoh Blood Donation Centre.

“This is to ensure that blood supplies remain at a safe level, especially during emergencies or major disasters,” he said.
