Small traders and hawkers allowed to operate in Manjung if they follow the rules

By Zaki Salleh

MANJUNG: All small traders and daily hawkers are welcome to operate in designated areas of the district, provided they adhere to the regulations set by the authorities.

This initiative is aimed at preventing any violations of the law and ensuring that business activities do not interfere with public spaces.

Director of the Licensing and Enforcement Department of the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM), Mohamad Sharil Salihan, said the regulations are in place to standardize the activities of small traders and daily hawkers.

He stated that all traders are required to obtain a Temporary Daily Hawker Permit (PPHS), which is available for only RM5 per day.

“The payment process has also been simplified — it can be made via the myMANJUNG app (Android only), through Maybank2u, or cashless payment at the MPM Customer Service Counter.

“Please comply with the conditions, as we are all responsible for maintaining peace, cleanliness, and harmony in the Manjung district,” he said.

Traders are also reminded not to leave their goods behind after business hours.

“MPM enforcement officers will immediately confiscate any items left behind, without prior notice.

“After trading, please clear and clean your business area.

“Please adhere to the conditions so we can collectively preserve the peace, cleanliness, and harmony of Manjung,” added Mohamad Sharil.
