IPOH: The presence of School Liaison Officers (PPS) from among police officers and personnel plays a vital role in preventing criminal activities.

This includes cases such as bullying, while also serving as a channel for the police to share current crime-related information with students and schools.

To ensure that PPS officers in the district continue to fulfill their roles, the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) has appointed new officers.

The certificate presentation ceremony for the 2025 PPS appointments was officiated by the Ipoh District Police Chief, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad.

A total of 24 PPS officers received their appointment letters.

The certificate presentation also symbolizes the commitment and trust placed in the appointed officers to carry out their responsibilities.

It helps foster a closer relationship between the police and the school community.

The appointments reflect ongoing collaboration between the police and the Ministry of Education Malaysia, in line with the slogan “Polis dan Masyarakat Berpisah Tiada” (“The Police and the Community Are Inseparable”).
