IPOH: A mentally disabled elderly woman was injured after falling into an uncovered well behind her house near Tanjung Rambutan earlier today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said the incident occurred at around 8:40 a.m.
He stated that the victim fell into a well estimated to be three meters deep.
“A female victim was reported to have fallen into an uncovered well behind her house.
He further explained that firefighters descended into the well to assist the victim in getting out.
The victim was then fitted with a harness and secured to a stretcher.
“Firefighters at the top then pulled the victim out of the well. The victim was subsequently handed over to the Ministry of Health (KKM) medical team and transported to the hospital via ambulance for further treatment,” he added.
