9 senior police officers promoted, take on new responsibilities

IPOH:The role of Head of the Internal Security and Public Order Department of the Perak Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is now held by Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC) Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu.

He was promoted from his previous position as the District Police Chief (OCPD) of Kuantan, Pahang.

Also taking on new responsibilities are Superintendent Abdul Samad bin Othman as the District Police Chief of Gerik, and Superintendent Jafri Md Zain as the District Police Chief of Kerian.

The promotion of these three senior officers was officiated by Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Noor Hisam Nordin, at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess here.

At the same ceremony, six officers holding the rank of Inspector were promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

They are ASP Mohd Fared Fadilah Mohd Daud; ASP Nur Iman Md Rahim; ASP Muhamad Ain Fikri Ngassri; ASP Siti Rabiah Kassim; ASP Mohd Fazli Abd Rahman; and ASP Azrene Shazwani Abd Manap.

In his speech, Noor Hisam congratulated the officers on their promotions and expressed hope that they would carry out their entrusted duties well and continue to provide the best service to the organisation and the local community.
