CST Auto Group played host to industry insiders, car enthusiasts, and invited guests at their Auto Gala Festival on Friday morning, where eight new vehicle models were officially unveiled. The event, held at CST Auto’s showroom, drew attention for its diverse lineup featuring models across various segments including MPVs, SUVs, electric vehicles (EVs), and trucks.


Guests began arriving at 10:30 AM, greeted by a formal program hosted by public speaking coach KT Pillai. The main highlight which was the grand unveiling took place at 11:00 AM, officiated by VIP guest Tan Sri Dato’ Chang Ko Youn, alongside CST Auto Group’s CEO, Dato’ P.R. Chandhran.
Diverse Lineup Across Segments


Leading the unveiling was the GAC M8, a luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) developed on Toyota’s hybrid platform. Designed for premium comfort, the M8 features captain seats, a spacious high-tech interior, and an array of advanced driver assistance systems which will make it ideal for families and executive transport.


Next came the Leapmotor C10, a mid-size SUV available in two variants: fully electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV). The C10’s flexible dual powertrain setup and refined cabin which was developed with input from Maserati engineers to make it a standout in the EV market. It also boasts strong ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) capabilities and practical everyday usability.
Electric and Internal Combustion Vehicles


CST also unveiled the Maxus MIFA 9, a full-size electric MPV powered by a 90 kWh battery. With a WLTP range of up to 435 km and a 180 kW motor delivering 350 Nm of torque, the MIFA 9 supports fast DC charging and offers exceptional space, comfort, and digital features.
From the internal combustion lineup, the Maxus G10 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine delivering 225 hp and 345 Nm torque. Designed for versatility, it offers multiple seating configurations, a spacious cabin, and essential safety features like ESC, cruise control, and reverse camera which will be ideal for both family and business use.
For Rugged Terrain and Adventure Seekers


For those drawn to power and performance, CST introduced the JAC T9, a robust 4×4 double-cab pickup truck. The JAC T9 is equipped with a 2.0L turbo diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and part-time 4WD. Combining rugged capability with modern comfort, it features a 10.4-inch infotainment screen, leather seats, 360° camera, and advanced safety systems which make it a workhorse that’s also road-trip ready.


Alongside it, the beloved Suzuki Jimny was presented in both 3-door and new 5-door versions, retaining its 1.5L engine and strong off-road pedigree while incorporating updated interior tech. Built on a ladder frame with part-time 4WD and low-range transfer gear, it’s designed for serious terrain tackling. Despite its rugged build, the Jimny offers modern essentials like a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and safety features in a boxy yet iconic design.


Also joining the lineup was the Suzuki Swift Sport, a performance hatchback powered by a 1.4L BOOSTERJET turbo engine, delivering 140 PS and 230 Nm of torque. The Swift Sport is matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission, paddle shifters, and fuel efficiency rated at 6.1L/100 km. The cabin is fitted with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and a reverse camera which will be bringing the modern tech into a sporty driving experience.
Performance Coupe and Commercial Truck Debuts


One of the crowd favourites was the debut of the Subaru BRZ 2.4L Eyesight, a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe powered by a 2.4L naturally aspirated Boxer engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. With a low 130 mm ground clearance, sporty 2+2 seating, and Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology, the BRZ offers both agility and advanced safety in one sleek package.


In the commercial vehicle segment, CST revealed the JAC i75, an all-electric truck powered by a 107 kWh CATL battery. Engineered for transport and logistics, the i75 offers high payload efficiency, rapid charging, and extended range capabilities which make it ideal for fleet operators transitioning to greener alternatives.


Completing the lineup was the JAC N80, a light-duty diesel truck featuring a 2.7L turbo-diesel engine. With its sturdy construction, driver-focused cabin, and reliable performance, the N80 is built to meet the daily demands of small-to-medium enterprises across the country.
Looking Forward


Following the unveiling ceremony, guests were treated to light refreshments and a closer look at the vehicles. The showcase not only underscored CST Auto Group’s growing portfolio but also reflected Malaysia’s shift toward sustainable mobility, hybrid adoption, and diversified transport solutions.


While CST Auto Group opened the event to the general public, the showcase hinted at growing automotive diversity in Malaysia, particularly in the rising adoption of electric vehicles and hybrid systems.
