IPOH: Emergencies, such as road accidents, often put healthcare workers and support service providers on high alert.
This was evident when MK Ambulance participated in an emergency drill organised by KPJ Ipoh Hospital.

The exercise simulated an incident involving a fallen tree that injured seven ‘patients’.
During the drill, two MK Ambulance vehicles were swiftly dispatched to the scene, followed by prompt rescue efforts and the safe transfer of all ‘victims’ to KPJ Ipoh.
A total of 11 MK Ambulance personnel, including paramedics, were involved in this emergency operation.
Director and founder of My Healthcare Services, Mazhar Kadir, said such drills are vital in enhancing their team’s preparedness for real-life incidents.
“This simulation allows our paramedics to sharpen their triage skills, patient transfers, and critical decision-making under pressure,” he said.
The exercise also helped strengthen collaboration between the MK medical team and hospital staff, while improving understanding of emergency protocols, including patient handover and hospital layout.
As the sole ambulance service provider for KPJ Ipoh, MK Ambulance plays a key role in ensuring initial emergency management is carried out smoothly and effectively.
Continuous training of this nature not only builds the crew’s confidence but also raises the level of professionalism and operational coordination among all parties involved in the emergency care system.
