IPOH: The pothole issue around the business area of Jalan S.A. Lingam, Ipoh Garden South here, has been resolved following recent road resurfacing works.
Ipoh City Council Chief WHIP, Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman, said that he contacted Puncak Emas after witnessing a food delivery rider fall at the affected location.
“About two weeks ago, a food delivery rider on a motorcycle fell into one of the potholes.
“The incident happened right in front of my eyes, and I immediately contacted Puncak Emas to address the issue urgently,” he said when contacted.
Mazlan stated that he later received a positive response from Puncak Emas regarding the matter.
According to him, there were several potholes in the area, posing a danger to road users.
“My team had previously marked the potholes with white circles to indicate damaged areas.
“A few days ago, Puncak Emas completed the resurfacing work on all potholes that posed an accident risk in the area,” he added.
