By Zaki Salleh

MANJUNG: The management of Sultan Azlan Shah Power Station (SJSAS) has launched daily electronic waste (e-waste) collection boxes as part of an environmental sustainability initiative.

These boxes are placed at two locations: the Admin Building of TNB Janamanjung Sdn. Bhd. and the Center of Excellence (COE) Building of TNB Manjung Five Sdn. Bhd.

This initiative is a proactive step in supporting environmental conservation efforts.

By providing a safe space for the collection of used electronic devices, staff members are encouraged to dispose of e-waste in an organized and responsible manner.

Examples of e-waste that can be deposited in these daily collection boxes include used batteries, old mobile phones, damaged cables, small electronic appliances, and similar items.

Earlier, the symbolic launch of the daily e-waste collection boxes was officiated by SJSAS Managing Director, Ir. Ahmad Afzainizam Mokhtar, at the lobby of the Admin Building, TNB Janamanjung Sdn. Bhd.

In his speech, he encouraged all staff to participate in the initiative to ensure e-waste is disposed of properly and safely, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future.
