50% Discount on Traffic Fines in Conjunction with Durian Fest 2025 in Selama

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: Good news for Perak residents!

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is offering a 50% discount on selected traffic fines in conjunction with the Durian Fest 2025 State-Level Program in Perak, which will run for three days starting July 18.

A special counter for traffic fine payments will be set up at Padang Majlis Daerah Selama, operating from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily throughout the event.

The discount applies to selected compoundable traffic fines, but several types of offenses are not eligible for this reduction.

These include fines related to accidents, non-compoundable offenses, fines under the ‘Op Selamat’ status, and cases currently being heard in court.

Other ineligible offenses include overtaking on double lines, dangerous queue-cutting, and heavy vehicle-related violations.

This initiative is part of PDRM’s efforts to engage with the community while offering the public a chance to settle outstanding fines at a reduced rate.

The public is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and arrive early to avoid long queues or delays at the counter.

Organizers also urge everyone to share this information with family and friends so more people can benefit from this special offer.
