IPOH: Approximately 15,000 visitors are expected to attend the 4th Ipoh International Arts Festival (IIAF 2025), which will be held at the Perak Innovation and Creative Resource Centre (PINCER) from July 19 to August 3.
The event, organized by People of Remarkable Talents (PORT), returns this year with a more heartfelt theme: ‘GEMA: Art, Healing and Future’.

In a statement, PORT said this edition will bring together around 100 artists, visual art practitioners, musicians, and cultural performers from both local and international backgrounds.
“The main exhibition, Contemporary Visual Art, will feature over 30 established and emerging artists from Malaysia as well as countries such as Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, United States, and Netherlands.
“A wide variety of contemporary artworks will be presented, including installations, sculptures, and video art,” the statement added.

The second week of the festival will also include various workshops under the Creative Youth Camp, with a focus on the music arts industry.
“A special session on music arts will be held, including a talk by MACP (Music Authors’ Copyright Protection) titled ‘Your Work, Your Rights: Understand the Rights and Role of MACP’, arranged especially for Ipoh Creative Music City,” it said.

The statement added that the festival’s theme explores deep interactions between creativity, healing, and future trajectories in a rapidly evolving world.
“The program aims to offer insights into how art can respond to today’s pressing challenges while inspiring pathways for renewal and transformation.”

All festival programs are free and open to the public.
