IPOH: Several residents of Persiaran Rapat Baru 20, Kampung Rapat Jaya Tambahan, are requesting that speed bumps be installed along the road for the safety of the public.
According to one resident, many vehicles using the road often disregard the speed limit, putting local residents at risk.
“We need additional speed bumps along this road because many vehicles do not comply with the speed limit.
“This could lead to accidents involving all road users and pose a danger to the surrounding or local residents,” they told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
The resident added that there have been several instances where vehicles suddenly overtook others, nearly causing accidents with people exiting their homes.
