Looking at the current condition of the public park, which serves as a place for the public to relax and carry out recreational activities at Dataran Tasik Raban, Lenggong, it is high time the infrastructure here is repaired.
The playground located at the square is also largely damaged, and the benches provided are clearly broken and unusable.
One of the complainants, who is also a local resident, claimed that the damage has been present since the beginning of the year. However, no action has been taken by the local authorities (PBT), including any maintenance work.
If the area falls under the Lenggong District Council, it would be best for them to monitor areas frequented by the public more regularly, thereby preventing potential risks such as injury.
“This location is a place for villagers nearby, especially children, to play and do recreational activities.
“But even the benches are badly broken and can’t be used for sitting. Many people come here to view the lake and enjoy the surroundings.
“The responsible authorities should maintain and monitor it regularly to ensure it remains a suitable place to visit. Where else can we bring our children to play if not here?” the resident told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
